Comicladies.de was finally created by a very competent author team. One is Alicia Lorenza, born 1980, after living for six years in a law firm in Frankfurt am Main, living with her husband and her two children in Switzerland. During her studies, she sporadically worked as a model in an escort agency. Her experiences and the experiences of socially weak women from the red light milieu aroused the desire to write them down. The publisher was able to inspire the famous illustrator David Boller: the idea for this unique comic was born.
David Boller himself is known for his healthy mix of manga, French band Dessinées and American superheroes. At the beginning of the nineties he visited the renowned Joe Kubert School of Graphics and Cartoon Art in Dover, New Jersey. There followed orders and works for many of the major and prestigious publishers. Marvel, DC, Acclaim, Wildstorm, Top Cow and Warp Graphics. Later, Boller founded Virtual Graphics and Zampano, his German-language webcomic magazine. Today the illustrator lives in St. Gallen and from there creates comics and manga for international publishers and writes storyboards for numerous leading companies.
